Before Josh Miller was a program officer with The Jim Joseph Foundation, he started JConnect Seattle - singlehandedly! While affiliated with University of Washington Hillel, JConnect was created to connect with post college young adults.

Josh did a webinar for the Next Dor pilot sites and we wanted to share his presentation with everyone. He covered leadership, marketing, tracking and fundraising. Most of the presentation is self-explanatory. If you have questions, ask them in this discussion - Josh is a member of Next Dor.

Hey, I have a question about starting a NextDor community in my neck of the woods...

How does the registered trademark come into play? I see that there is a big "R" circle meatball by the logo. Does this mean that dues must be paid for the use of the mark?

Nice shades BTW. Are you in a crop duster?

Thanks Daniel - I'm in a 1929 DeHavilland Fairchild!

You are correct, Next Dor is trademarked by S3K. If you're starting a ND community and want to use the moniker all we ask is that you particularize your ND community (Next Dor St. Louis, Next Dor Atlanta for example) and that you credit S3K somehow, somewhere. No dues required! Feel free to email me directly, aaron@synagogue3000.org and I can give more details. Thanks!

Hi Daniel - If you do go decide to go ahead and start a Next Dor community in your area, please let me know if you do a Facebook/twitter/web page etc. so I can keep folks coordinated on that end. Thanks! :) Sadie
